February 15 The KeeperHe stands outside the house looking in. He can hear her heart beat from here. His pulse races from deep within, And down his face runs a single tear.
She lays in bed all alone peacefully sleeping. Dreaming of a land no man has ever known, Sounds of birds weeping.
Her dream floats into the night, The moon shining within. Crying for wisdom, Holy night, For all of man and his sin.
Soon a storm begins, Black clouds form in the sky. Then the Holy Beast is called from within. The trees wickedly cry why.
Her window blows ajar, A strong wind can be felt. A shadowy figure appears from afar Then a scent can be smelled.
The scent of death is in the air, As he slides through the window left ajar, Also smells, of the rain and midnight air He has traveled very far.
He is a figure of a man, hiding in the shadows of the night, Coming from the corner of only one’s mind. A presence can be felt, the howling of dogs though out the night. He, the only one of his kind.
He silently moves through her room, Staying in the corner as if he was an abstainer. Tears of blood stain his eyes, his soul is full of doom. Knowing he will never be able to obtain-her.
His eyes gaze upon her, watching over her, Taking in her beauty as she lay asleep. Vowing to kill any man that ever touches her, Even though he cant have her, she is his to keep.
Submitted by Ink Panther My MoonSearching for the moon.. Where are you tonight? I go into the night and look to see. Where are you my Moon? You’re not in sight. Who knew you could be so cruel as to hide from me.
I begin my search for you.. Looking into the night, but no moon do I see. Wanting and needing to gaze upon you. My heart reaching out from within me.
I climb three-flights up, finally reaching the balcony, still searching. There you are not, so I let out a sigh. I know you are hiding from me. Somewhere out there you must be lurking… So, back I go, down three-flights and out the door.
I start my journey down the path towards the creek. My thoughts only of you , thinking I never see you anymore. A funny feeling I get, my knees begin to get weak. I know you are here. “Come out.” I say!!
The hours come to pass, still you’re not here. I think.. How can you treat me this way? I wonder why I have this feeling of fear. Just as I thought I could take no more…
Out you come, glowing and dancing in the sky, taking your place. You look down on me and my heart you tore, For what I saw, was a wicked smile on your face.
